The Beginning

“The Beginning” marks the start of my photography journey. Every artist needs to have a beginning, and this is one of the first images I took in my new found career. I had always been inspired by photos, but it wouldn’t be until 15 years later I would explore my creativity in photography.

On this trip to the Great Ocean Road, I went with two incredible photographers I admired and upon leaving after the trip I was completely inspired to take a risk and put everything on the line and begin the journey to become a photographer.

I had always loved the simplicity of this image and the gentle sweeping lines of the cliffs and the pastel tones. This was without doubt a magical moment for me in my career. I still look back on this image, even years later and believe that in this location I have never taken another photograph like it. It’s still a personal favourite.
