At a glance
The most complete way to learn in the field.
A full-day private workshop is built around one thing: your goals. Mastering long exposure, building a landscape portfolio, learning a new region, or finally understanding your camera somewhere beautiful.
The day follows the light. Morning and late-afternoon sessions in the field, with time in between to review your images and fix what isn’t working while you still have the location in front of you.

Full-day FAQ
Planning your day.
What is a full-day private photography workshop?
A 6 to 7 hour one-to-one photography day with Dani Watson at a Victorian location of your choice, or Sydney on request, planned around the best light, with tuition and feedback all day. It costs $1,000 per person.
Can two people share a full-day workshop?
Yes. A partner or friend can join the same day at the same rate, $1,000 per person.
How do we choose a date?
Book a date online, or send the location and a few preferred dates. The day is planned around season, tide and weather, and the meeting point is confirmed with you.
What should I bring?
Your camera and lenses, a tripod, spare batteries and cards, water, sun protection and clothes for changing weather. A polariser and ND filters are useful for coastal and waterfall locations.
What happened to the masterclasses?
The group masterclasses are now private full-day workshops, so the whole day is built around your goals and your pace.
Is this right for a beginner?
Yes. Because the day is private, it starts wherever you are. Beginners often use it to get confident with manual settings in a beautiful location. Experienced photographers use it to build a portfolio or learn a new region.
