ARTIST STATEMENT

There's nothing quite like the exhilarating feeling of soaring through the sky, especially when flying over the breathtaking Lake Tyrell at sunrise. As the day's first rays break over the horizon, the landscape below transforms into a spectacular canvas of colour and light.

This morning, we embarked on an aerial adventure that left us in awe of nature's beauty. The plane's engine hummed as we ascended into the pastel sky, our eyes fixed on the view unfolding beneath us. Lake Tyrell, Victoria's largest inland salt lake, was bathed in the soft glow of dawn. Its pink waters shimmered against the rising sun, creating a mesmerising spectacle.

Armed with our camera, we captured abstract images that genuinely encapsulate the ethereal beauty of this unique location. The salt lake, famous for its mirrored reflections of the sky, offered an otherworldly scene. The golden sunrise light cast long shadows across the flat expanse, creating a play of light and darkness that was simply magical.
