About the photograph
A red dirt road leads to a lone conical hill beneath the stars, with a spiral of light coiling above its peak. Connection is my multi-award-winning series, created as part of my Master of Arts in Photography. A glyph of light, drawn in the night sky with a drone, sits over a real Australian place to make the familiar feel newly discovered. The light is there to complement the landscape, never overwhelm it.
