As the day began to fade, I found myself drawn to Long Jetty. The light was soft, the kind that wraps itself around everything it touches, casting a warm, golden hue over the scene. The sky seemed to melt into the horizon, its soft blues and pinks blending effortlessly with the golden tones of the setting sun. It was the kind of light that photographers dream of—the perfect moment that seems to hang in the air, waiting to be captured.

I stood there for a while, just watching as the long stretch of the jetty reached out into the water. It felt like an invitation—this simple, wooden pathway, leading somewhere beyond the horizon. The water was calm, almost impossibly still, reflecting the soft colours of the sky like a mirror. There was something so peaceful about the scene, as if time had slowed down, and the only thing that mattered was the quiet rhythm of the evening.

I positioned myself to capture the length of the jetty, wanting to emphasise its endless stretch into the distance.
