ARTIST STATEMENT

Standing beneath the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge in the early hours, a thick fog blankets the scene, softening the city skyline and enveloping the morning ferry. The fog moves slowly, revealing and concealing parts of the cityscape, creating an ethereal blend of shadow and light. Captured on black-and-white film, this image strips away colour to focus on form, texture, and contrast, evoking a sense of timelessness. The ferry glides quietly under the steel structure, carrying early commuters through the misty harbour. The photograph captures the tranquil mood of the morning, a moment of quiet before the city awakens fully to the day ahead.
