ARTIST STATEMENT

Deep within the Helensburgh Tunnel, time seems to slow as twilight descends. The quiet hum of the natural world takes over, and the tunnel transforms into a hidden sanctuary. The soft glow of the worms lights the tunnel’s depths, like stars caught in the dark passageway, casting an otherworldly light. Above, a waterfall cascades down the tunnel’s entrance, blending seamlessly with the lush greenery that surrounds it.

The water’s steady flow echoes softly, and the scene feels suspended between worlds—a place where nature reclaims forgotten spaces. The tunnel draws you in with its mysterious glow, while the waterfall offers a gentle reminder of the forces at work, both seen and unseen. It’s a place of beauty, where light, water, and stone combine to create a scene that feels almost magical.
