About the photograph
A round hay bale sits in a harvested paddock at dusk, with a single thread of light rising from the horizon behind it. Connection is my multi-award-winning series, created as part of my Master of Arts in Photography. A glyph of light, drawn in the night sky with a drone, sits over a real Australian place to make the familiar feel newly discovered. The light is there to complement the landscape, never overwhelm it.
From Connection, a multi-award-winning series named in the Top 10 of the Australian Emerging Photography Awards.
