About the photograph
I stopped beneath the tree and looked up. Reds and amber held overhead, dense enough to quiet everything else. Beyond the trunk the vineyard softened into mist and the hills stayed distant. No wind, just the occasional leaf settling. The sharpness above and the muted space beyond made the moment feel precise, balanced and temporary.
