ARTIST STATEMENT

As the sun dipped below the horizon, I found myself hovering over Albert Park, capturing the delicate transition between day and night. Below me, the calm waters of the lake mirrored the soft pastels of the fading sky, while the towering skyline of Melbourne stood tall, silhouetted against the glow of dusk.

The sprawling green of the park stretched out in perfect harmony with the urban landscape, a blend of nature and city life that felt almost surreal from this vantage point. From here, you can see the balance of movement—cars winding along the lakeside road, the orderly layout of the golf course, and the reflective stillness of the water.

It’s moments like this that remind me of the gentle coexistence between nature and the urban world, how the city and the park seem to merge as one as the evening settles in. The scene, awash in soft golden light, feels both familiar and dreamlike. There’s a peace to be found in viewing the city like this—a quietness that allows you to appreciate its beauty from a whole new perspective.
