MENTORING FAQ

A calm, supportive mentoring experience designed to meet photographers where they are — whether you need clarity, creative direction, portfolio feedback, editing support or a longer-term pathway.

Are sessions online or in person?

Mentoring sessions are available online across Australia and internationally. In-person sessions may also be available by arrangement, depending on location and availability. Online sessions work especially well for portfolio reviews, Lightroom support, editing feedback, file management, website reviews and creative business mentoring.

What happens after I purchase a session?

After purchase, you will receive a welcome email with the next steps, preparation details and a short questionnaire. This allows Dani to understand your work, goals and current challenges before your session begins, so the mentoring can feel considered, personalised and genuinely useful.

Can I use hourly mentoring for Lightroom or editing help?

Yes. Hourly Creative Mentoring is ideal for focused support with Lightroom workflow, editing direction, image selection, file management, colour consistency, export settings, print preparation and general workflow refinement. It is best suited to photographers who need help with one specific area rather than a full mentoring pathway.

Which session is right for me?

If you are unsure where to begin, Creative Clarity is usually the best place to start. It is designed to help you understand where your work is at, what is working, what may be holding it back and what your most valuable next step may be. From there, Dani can guide you toward the most suitable mentoring pathway.

Can I book from overseas?

Yes. Online mentoring is available internationally. If you are based outside Australia, sessions can be arranged online, making it easy to access support wherever you are. This is particularly helpful for photographers seeking portfolio reviews, visual voice development, editing guidance or creative business mentoring.

Do long-term mentorships have payment plans?

Yes. Payment plans may be available for selected longer-term mentoring pathways, including the 6-Month Creative Development Mentorship and 12-Month Legacy Mentorship. This allows photographers to commit to deeper support over time while making the investment more manageable.

What is included in each session?

Depending on the mentoring pathway you choose, support may include portfolio review, visual voice development, Lightroom workflow, editing feedback, file management, image selection, print guidance, exhibition preparation, artist statement support, website feedback, SEO direction, pricing, offer development and creative business strategy.

What is not included in mentoring?

Mentoring does not include full editing or retouching completed by Dani, full website design or implementation, printing or framing costs, exhibition venue hire, social media management, or guaranteed sales or competition outcomes. The focus is on guidance, refinement, strategy and helping you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
